Brent Roberts

Brent joined Wolf Business Brokers in 2008 after many years of experience in commercial real estate and business management.

Prior to joining Wolf, Brent served as the CFO of Next Shift Enterprises. Next Shift was a small private equity company that created investment funds targeted at professional hockey players looking for alternative investments. The company created the funds, secured land and businesses for purchase, developed real estate and restaurants, and managed all investments for fund investors. In his role Brent oversaw the day to day financial management for 15 different restaurants including a chain of four locally owned coffee shops, and eleven franchised Bennigan’s Grill and Tavern restaurants located throughout Maryland and North Carolina. The financial management included monthly and yearly budget forecasting, day-to-day bookkeeping, payroll, cash management, and the year-end financial reporting and tax return preparation for over 50 different Limited Liability Companies that were part of Next Shift’s complicated corporate structure. As CFO, Brent was also in charge of overseeing millions in commercial loan closings as well as the disposition of the company’s various real estate and business interests.

Additionally, Brent has extensive experiencing working with local real estate developers on complex mixed-use development projects. As a senior financial analyst at local developer Struever Bros. Eccles & Rouse, Brent was instrumental in overseeing the financial forecasting for over $5 billion in new development in Washington, DC; Baltimore, MD; Newark, NJ; and Providence, Rhode Island.

Brent was a graduate of the University of Maryland’s R.H. Smith School of Business where he graduated with a double major in Accounting and Finance while also playing and serving as the president of the men’s ice hockey club team.
